Lovely beach to walk (please do not walk on the dunes!). Shallow areas for the kids, but lots of rocks and shells, so wear water shoes. No sticker required. Dogs allowed on beach after Sep 15th. Popular with windsurfers.
I like Forest Beach a lot. It's a bit small and lacks a lot of parking. But it has the feel of a private beach. And if you can get there early enough you will find a spot. You can also find places to park in the afternoon past 2:00
A truly hidden gem. Been coming to Chatham for over 40 years and just found this beach. Parking is free, beach is a stones throw. So many seashells. I thought I must have been a private beach but isn't !!
Beautiful spot but a bit rocky.
Great local beach. Very limited parking (less than a dozen spots), but parking is free. Did not see any restroom facilities so should keep that in mind if going with little kids. But ample opportunity to find cool shells and rocks.
